An Evening of celebration and critical scholarship: Feminist Theology & Social Justice in Islam. On Oct 17th, 5:15pm, join the BJRT for an online event that advocates for the centrality of feminist theology and social justice in academia, and celebrates the historically constant leading role of women upon the intellectual and material fronts of liberation. Keynote speaker Dr. Mahjabeen Dhala will present on her recent publication, and a sweeping panel of emerging and established activist-scholars will offer response to her work, no less brilliant and powerful.
This Fall, BJRT’s Special Issue features contributions from WSR’s 2023 Spring Conference. Come for the fellowship and enrichment (and bring your own refreshments on Zoom!). We look forward to seeing you and engaging together in critical thought and practice which, indeed, advances the realization of a just, flourishing, feminist and decolonized world.
